- III. ROBERT KINCAID, third son of Alexander Kincaid of Edinburgh, Scotland, one of the four brothers who came to America in 1746, married Ann (Surname un-known). First record we have of him is in 1763 when he > purchased in Beverley Manor, Augusta County, Virginia, 334 acres of land. On June 20, 1770 he and his wife, Anne, sold to a son, Andrew Kincaid, 150 acres of this tract. Robert and Anne Kincaid moved to Falling Spring, Virginia in 1770, followed shortly by their son, Andrew Kincaid, who married Ann Kincaid, daughter of his Uncle Samuel Kincaid Sr. Among the children of Andrew and Ann Kincaid, were Andrew, who married Anne Kincaid, (daughter of Samuel Kincaid Jr.) her double first cousin; other sons were John Kincaid, who married Alice Dean, and James Kincaid, who married her sister, Elizabeth Dean.
