Overview

This article is for Andrew, son of person:Andrew Cowan (4) and Mary Walker who lived in SWVA beginning about 1771. This Andrew was an adult when he appears as "Andrew Cowan, Jr." along with his father "Andrew Cowan Sr." as a member of a jury 19 may 1779 in Washington County, VA. (see Notebook:Cowans in SWVA. [1]

  1. ↑ It is conceivable that this Andrew is the son of one of the other related Cowan's in the area (David, William, and Samuel). William is believed to have not married until about 1770. Samuel died relatively young, and his eldest son was not an adult until after the Revolution. David did have a son named Andrew, but this has not been fully evaluated.
