- Also, the children listed in the household are Amos' with his first wife, Margaret Mefford, who died December 12, 1846. Amos and 2nd wife, Agnes Palmer, weren't married until October 22, 1848, making it impossible that any of the children were born to Agnes.

Amos' 2nd wife, Agnes Palmer, died two years later on May 29, 1862, at the age of 50. Amos then married for a 3rd time to the widow, Catherine Jane (Hatfield) Bowers.
