Amos Newborn was baptised at Barnack in Northamptonshire on 25th August 1793, the eldest child of Francis Newborn and Elizabeth Cunnington, who had married the previous year. Amos died aged eight, being buried at Barnack on 8th November 1801. His parents went on to have another son in 1809, whom they named Amos too.
