He was a member of School Committee in Plan, 1813 and Moderator of the Plantation meeting, Dec. 11, 1813. Doubtless he was a resident here years before this date. Turner claimed there was no relation between husband and wife but subsequent research found a distant relation.[3]

    Lucy, b. 1779, m. 1802-3, Amos Knight, b. Westbrook 1781. He was a member of School Committee in Plan, 1813 and Moderator of the Plantation meeting, Dec. 11, 1813. Doubtless he was a resident here years before this date. No family relation existed between this couple prior to their marriage. There were four or five separate races of Knight families in town.
