    Amos Bliss, b. Jan. 10th, 1774, d. Feb. 18, 1857. He was the son of Timothy Bliss and Zerviah Williams. He married in 1796 , Hannah Clark, she was born in Nov. 1769 and died Oct. 26, 1836, daughter of ? Clark and Elisabeth Vaughn, of Lebanon, Connecticut. He married 2. on January (July 12 ?) 1843, Martha Douglaas, she was born March 11, 1792 and died May 28, 1871, daughter of Caleb Douglaas and Grace Morgan of Chelsea, Vermont.
    The Bliss genealogy states he was a farmer.
