Mrs. Amanda Blaisdell

Widow of Joseph E Blaisdell of Georgetown Dies at Age of 83 Years

Mrs. Amanda Blaisdell, 83, widow of Joseph E Blaisdell of Georgetown died Thursday afternoon at the home of her niece, Mrs. Alfred J Rowe, 708 Washington street, where she was removed a fortnight ago suffering an ill turn at her home in Five Islands.

Mrs. Blaisdell was born in Georgetown, a daughter of Charles and Susan S Stevens and her life was passed there except the last 14 Winters which she passed in Bath with her niece. She was an active member of the church at Five Islands and of the grange and was ever ministering to the general good of the community. She was called upon to aid in sickness and in death and many a family in her community has good cause for caller her "blessed."

Mrs. Blaisdell was the last of a family of ten children. Her nearest relatives are five nieces and two nephews: Mrs. Joseph Ferguson, Glens Falls NY, Mrs. Howard Melville, Everett MA, Mrs. Nellie Pinkham, Five Islands, Mrs Charles Berry, Litchfield Corner, Mrs. Alfred J Rowe, Bath, Sheridan McIndoe, New York City, Eugene McIndoe, Montclair, NJ.
