Alvin Schultz was married to Evelyn Baus. They had two sons; Donald Russell Schultz born in 1948, and Larry Richard Schultz born in 1952.

After the World War II, he became a patrolman with the Newport, Kentucky Police Department until his death in 1971. He passed away at his home (build by Grandfather Frank Schultz) on Main St. in South Newport of an apparent heart attack.
