    Alvin D. Roupp, 91, of Sycamore Manor, 1445 Sycamore Road, Montoursville, formerly of the 1600 block of Andrews Place, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 5, 2006.

    Born June 29, 1915, in Roaring Branch, he was a son of Curtis A. and Mabel A Campbell Roupp.

    Alvin served in the Army and with the National Guard. He had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail for 34 yers.

    He was a member of St. John's-Newberry United Methodist Church since 1938. An avid bowler, he won a state championship for seniors. He repaird lawn mowers and loved music. Most of all, he was very devoted to he family.

    Surviving are his wife of 67 years, the former Della M. Vaughn; three daughters, Nancy (Charles) Stahl of Montoursville, Gloria (Richard) Cicerale and Sharon (Danny) Pfirman, both of Linden; five grand children; six great grendchildren; and one great great gramddaigjter/

    Alvin was preceded in death by two grandsons; a sister, Thelma Dunlap; and a brother, Gerald Roupp.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Draig L. Faust officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.

    Friends may call at Sanders' from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
