Obituary
Ella Elbers was born March 26th 1868 one and a half miles southwest of Coopersville and passed away on March 20th 1925 at the home of her brother, Luke Elbers. She was a resident of Polkton township all her life except for a few years when she was a nurse at the Howell Sanitarium.
She made confession of her faith during the pastorate of Rev. DeYoung on December 27, 1913, and when at the end of a troubled life, death came, she was not afraid but clung to Him whose blood she trusted. God gave her dying grace.
Surviving are five brothers and two sisters, Henry, John and Luke of this village; Fred of Muskegon Heights; (Mrs.) Ben Bosink of Big Rapids; Mrs. Minnie Mulder and Mrs. Hattie Reed of Coopersville.
The funeral service at the home was conducted by Elder John H. TerAvest and at the Reformed church by the pastor Rev. H. Hoff. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful and showed the high regard in which the deceased was held. Interment was made in the Eastmanville Cemetery.
