Person:Alice Waite (1)

Alice Waite was born on 19th October 1898 in Gorton and was the daughter of John Waite (b.1860) and Alice Boland. In 1901 she was aged 2 and living at 18 Samuel Street in Gorton. She married Ralph Ainscough on 19th July 1921 at St Catherine's Church in Horwich. She lived from the 1930s until 1971 at 57 Hilton Avenue, Horwich. After Ralph's death she married Walter Balshaw on 20th July 1971 and lived until her death in Cheriton, near Folkestone. She died in Dover Hospital on 12th January 1984 and was cremated at Canterbury Crematorium.
