The Menin Gate Memorial commemorates those who died in the Ypres Salient before 16th April 1917 and who have no known grave. Corporal Alfred Gundry was probably killed in action during the Battle of Gheluvett (29th – 31st October 1914).
Alfred Gundry was the son of Walter and Emily Gundry. He was born in Abbotsbury and enlisted at Cardiff.
