William Anderson's will--To wife, Elizabeth; to son, John, tract whereon James Black lives, 244 acres; to son, George, tract known as Burnt Cabbin whereon George now lives, adjoining John, Robert, and Jacob Baylor; to son, Robert, 149 acres whereon Ro. now lives; to son, Alexander, home plantation, 290 acres; to sons-in-law and their wives, viz: James Clendenning and wife Margaret, Wm. Skillings and wife Mary, James Grigsby and wife Rebecca, Samuel Anderson and wife Elizabeth; to daughter, Jean Anderson. Executors, son John and David McNare. Teste: Edward Breadin, Sr. and Jr.; George Breaden. Proved, June Court, 1794, by all the witnesses.

David Parry as First Lieutenant of said Company; William Abney as Second Lieutenant of said Company; Jacob Geiger as Cornet of said Company.
  • Vol. 1 - DECEMBER 17, 1793. - (34) William Chambers qualified Captain of the Light Infantry in the 1st Battalion, 32d Regiment, and Alex. Anderson, Ensign, the same.
  • Vol. 1 - JUNE 17, 1794. - (124) Robert Anderson recommended Captain in 1st Battalion, 32d Regiment, it appearing there are men enough to form a new Company. Alex. Anderson, Lieutenant, and Thomas Hogshead, Ensign, same.
  • Vol. 1 - SEPTEMBER 16, 1794. - (160) John Gamble recommended Captain in 1st Battalion, 32d Regiment, of a new Company taken off Capt. Erwin's Company. William Young recommended Lieutenant. James Allen recommended Ensign. David Parry recommended Captain of a new Company taken off Capt. Bell's Company. Andrew Cutler recommended Lieutenant. Michael Garber, Jr., recommended Ensign. Mathew Robertson recommended Ensign, vice Benjamin Kennerly, who has removed. Alex. Watson recommended Ensign of Infantry, vice Alex. Anderson, resigned.
  • Vol. 1 - AUGUST, 1802 (A to C). - Catherine Baylor, wife of Jacob Baylor, by Alexander Anderson, vs. Jacob Baylor.--Lived faithfully with defendant in Virginia and Pennsylvania, and is now aged and infirm, having raised twelve children.
  • Vol. 2 - Bell vs. Anderson--O. S. 210; N. S. 74 -- Bill 24th August, 1813. On 17th March, 1778, David Bell made an entry in Augusta for 400 acres adjoining his own and Hall's and Moffett's lands. David died intestate in 1780 as to this land, and William Bell, his heir-at-law, became entitled, who had the survey made and conveyed to orator, James Bell. On 12th June, 1772, William Antlerson located 100 acres adjoining. At David Bell's death, William Bell was a minor. Robert Anderson, son of William, sold to Detrick. Answer by Alexander Anderson, son of William; answer by Isaac and Enos Jones.
