Facts and Events
Clara the eldest daughter married Albert (Al) Smith in 1892, and moved to his homestead on Burntwood Creek in 1898. They were the parents of Elmer, Alta, Jennie, Albert, Letha, Erma, Fern, Lloyd, Nile, and Nola. Al passed away 1929. Clara stayed on the place with her two sons, Lloyd and Nile, until they moved to Montana in 1940. Clara passed away in 1968, at the age of 93 and is buried in the Mayflower Cemetery, north of McDonald, Kansas.
