Albert P. Shreve, bookkeeper, was born in Richmond, Indiana. He enlisted in the United States Army April 19, 1861, at Cincinnati, Ohio in Company B, Guthrie Grays. Served three months and was voluntarily discharged from the service. He was appointed paymaster clerk and reported to Major W.H. Johnston. His wife was Annie Gray of Leavenworth, Kansas. They have three children - two boys and one girl.
