Albert P. Shreve, bookkeeper, was born in Richmond, Indiana. He enlisted in the United States Army April 19, 1861, at Cincinnati, Ohio in Company B, Guthrie Grays. Served three months and was voluntarily discharged from the service. He was appointed paymaster clerk and reported to Major W.H. Johnston.
His wife was Annie Gray of Leavenworth, Kansas. They have three children - two boys and one girl.

The death date (27 Jun 1932) on Find A Grave is improbable as his wife was collecting a pension from the military as an Army Widow at the time of her death (27 Feb 1927).
