Arrived in New York in April 1660 on the ship De Bonte Koe (The Spotted Cow). Albert Heymans, farmer, came from Herwynen, Gelderland, April 15, 1660, in the "Spotted Cow," with his wife, Wyntje Ariens (Weilke de Jonge), and had 8 children, aged resp. 17, 15, 14, 9, 8, 7, 4, and 2 years, settled in Esopus, and assumed the name of ROOSA. Albert Hymans Roosa received on Aug. 19, 1664, a patent of land in Wyldwyck. He died Febr. 27, 1679. [from Gustave Anjou, Ulster County Wills] References
