Albert was the son of Amos Halstead and America Jane Keffer Halstead.
Albert Thomas Halsted, 79, of Tornado, formerly of St. Albans, died yesterday in a South Charleston hospital after a long illness. Mr. Halstead owned and operated Halstead Florist in St. Albans for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1952. He was a charter member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Charleston. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs Lillian Lippincott and Mrs. Nellie Rogers of Tornado, Mrs. Prudence Hill of Washington. Mrs. Mildred McNealy of Denver, and Mrs. Marguerite Cunningham of Lansing. Mich.; five sons, Albert of Huntington, Byron and Fred of Pittsburgh. L.T. and Wendell of St. Albans; 27 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
