"William Lane's wife is identified as Agnes Farnsworth in some secondary sources [Basset Preston 169]. The only justification for this is the provision in William Lane's will that 'my loving brethren Joseph Farnsworth and John Wiswall' be executors. Since both men are referredt to as brothers, this almost certainly indicates a church relationship (although Farnsworth did marry William Lane's daughter Mary by 1656)."
