Agnes Cleary was born on 9th September 1901 at the Lying-in Hospital in the city of Limerick. She was the only daughter of a butler named Denis Cleary and his wife Margaret Kennedy, who had married the previous year. By 1911 the family was living in Dublin in a large fourteen roomed house, which was probably Denis's employer's house.

Agnes has yet to be traced after the 1911 census.
