He could have died at home in Cheektowaga or at St. Joseph's Hospital which is the only hospital in Cheektowaga or he could have been in a Buffalo hospital which would put the death certificate in Buffalo. Remember, Cheektowaga is where a whole bunch of cemeteries are located.

Per Kevin Enser: Rapin Funeral Home no longer located at Genesee and Pine Ridge Rd., Cheektowaga, NY. They were located in Pine Hill section of Cheektowaga and across from all the cemeteries. They may have or still do have cemetery records for one of the many cemeteries in the area. I don't know if they managed a cemetery or just had records for one.
