    Erected by Adam RAE who died 28.11.1824 aged 48 and his wife Elizabeth C DOWNIE who died 30.5.1823 aged 42 in memory of their son Robert who died 25.1.1802 in his 3rd year. David Stewart BROWN died 16.11.1926 aged 39, his wife Fanny RAE died 12.1927 aged 43.

  2.   The reverse of this stone holds the [transcribed] inscription for Adam RAE's parents:
    :Samuel RAE tidesman died 12.1.1803 aged 83, wife Margaret McGOWAN died 20.7.1808 aged 63, son Alexander died 27.7.1851 aged 73 (wife Mary McMURRAY died 16.3.1863 aged 70, his son Alexander died 4.4.1866 aged 52)
