Flesher, Adam - Indian Wars 1782-1792; born 7/29/1764; entered service 1781 at Buckhannon's Fort, Lewis County, Virginia, with father; entered service 1791 in Harrison County, Virginia against Indians; granted Pension 1833 in Lewis county, Virginia; dropped from Pension rolls in 1835, since service was not in Revolutionary War but in Wayne's War against Indians; died 11/4/1854 in Lewis County, Virginia; married 2/22/1792 in Elizabeth Staats/Stotts, Harrison County, Virginia; widow was born 10/12/1776; widow applied for Pension in 1856, & Pension Application rejected, soldier's service not in Revolutionary War; widow granted Bounty Land Warrant #47338 then for husband's service in Wayne's War; query letter in file in 1910 from descendant Mr. Ida Flesher Martin, Pennsboro, West Virginia, states soldier of Weston, Virginia; query letter in file in 1933 from Benjamin F. Flesher, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, states ancestors settled in Weston, Virginia abt. 1775. F-S18403, R989.
