ADDIE MARTIN (daughter of William Henry and Isadore Martin)

Succumbs on Sunday, Miss Addie Martin, age 57, a former resident of The Plains, died Sunday night at her home in Leroy, following a long illness. Miss Martin was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin, who lived at The Plains 33 years ago.
Miss Martin leaves three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Catherine Bull, Circleville, and Mrs. Rie Enaminger, and Miss Nell Martin, Leroy; Dr. William Martin, Detroit; Mich.; Henry Martin Jr., West Salem, and Fred Martin, Lodi.
Funeral services will be held at The Plains, M.E. Church, and Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Burial will be made in the Plains Cemetery.

Chauncey- Funeral services for Miss Adda Martin, former resident of Chauncey and The Plains, who died at her home in Leroy, Ohio, were held Wednesday afternoon from The Plains M.E. Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Wald Radford. Burial was in the cemetery there. Sons of the late George Gabriel and Mrs. Gabriel, Sr. served as pall bearers and flower bearers as they did for Miss Martin’s father several years ago.
Services were also held in Leroy, Tuesday night, for friends in the community where she had spent the latter part of her life. Miss. Martin, a daughter of the late Henry and Isabel Harper Martin was born in Chauncey and also lived in The Plains and Athens; before locating to the northern part of the state.
Accompanying the body were Fred Martin and Eleanor Martin, Lodi; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin; Jr. and family, West Salem; Mrs. Rie Enaminger and sons Billy and Gordon, Leroy; Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Hardy, Lakewood; Mrs. Catherine Martin Bull, Columbus; C.J. Martin and son Peter, Westerville.
Other relatives in attendance were; Mrs. Joshua Spencer and family, Nelsonville; Mrs. Flo Six and daughter Sylvia; Mrs. Margaret Collum, Ben Whittimyer, Circleville; Gertrude Pride, Glouster; Alice Twiss and daughter, Athens; Lizzie Lohae, Factory; Grace Nagle, The Plains; Mr. and Mrs. Alton Hope, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Daugherty, Paulina Daugherty, Mr. and Mrs. George Shafer, Rose Dickerson, Mrs. Isabel Coe, Mrs. Lettie Coe Hintz, and Miss Gloria Hintz, Chauncey.
