Westfall, Abraham - entered service 1776 in Hampshire County, Virginia; where living on South Branch of Potomac River (area later became Hardy County, Virginia) in Virginia company commanded by brother Captain Abel {Westfall} and brother Cornelius {Westfall} was lieutenant in that company; died 12/1832 or 1/1833 in Knox County, Indiana; married 10/11/1789 to Massey Harbin at the home of her father, Vincennes, Indiana; widow was born 7/1770; granted Pension 1839 in Knox County, Indiana; Sarah Harness made affidavit there then abt. age 80 that she had been a neighbor of soldier in Hampshire County, [West] Virginia, & she resided there for the past 40 years of Knox County, Indiana; soldier's widow resided in Indiana in 1843; query letter in file in 1936 from Oscar E. Westfall of Vincennes, Indiana. F-W0993, R2538.
