The guardians to idler and waster Daniel Winch Jr. ask for "an allowance for cash paid Abigail Robinson in part of the annual payment due to her for relinquishing her right of dower in said Winches Estate", presumably her dower rights to her first husband's homestead, which had been inherited by the son, and which had to be sold to pay his debts. One installment of the annual payments of £3 were listed as "Rent due Mr. Jon'a Robinson March 22'd 1790 for widow's dower". [Middlesex Probate 25209]
