Her mother Abigail took a small girl to keep because she wasn't getting good care with folks who were keeping her. Trustee offerd .30 cents a month to help take care of the girl, Rosie Alexander. Abigail said she'd raise her alone. I guess Rosie didn't appreciate this for she left home when she was a younger girl.
