    [Benjamin] "JOHN, Watertown, came in the Lion, 16 Sept. 1632, to Boston, and was made freem. 6 Nov. foll. and 20 May next yr. was appoint. constable by the Gen. Ct. a propr. in Cambridge, rem. a. 1637, to W. and d. advanced in yrs. (or at least old eno. to be excus. from milit. train. eleven yrs. bef:) 14 June 1645, leav. wid. Abigail, and ch. of wh. most were b. in Eng. and the exact order may be uncert. but John was eldest s. b. a. 1620; Abigail, eldest d. while the next ch. Samuel was b. 1628; Mary, the next, d. 10 Apr. 1646, had made a will, certain. after m. of her sis. Abigail, prob. few days bef. her d. yet it was set aside, as of one under age; prob. b. on our side of the water were Joseph; Joshua, a. 1642; Caleb; and Abel. His will is abstr. in Geneal. Reg. III. 177, and the wid. d. 20 May 1687, aged 87. Abigail m. a. 1641, Joshua Stubbs of W."
