Abigail Drake (Job2, John1), born at Windsor, Conn., Sept. 28, 1648, married at Northampton, Mass., Aug. 20, 1668, Israel Dewey, born at Windsor, Sept. 25, 1645, son of Thomas and Frances (Clark) Dewey. He had a grant of land in Westfield, Mass., but returned to Windsor soon after the birth of his son Israel. He died Oct. 23, 1678, at Windsor. Andrew Hillyer of Simsbury, born in Windsor, Nov. 4, 1646, son of John Hillyer, married as his second wife, Nov. 17, 1687, Abigail (Drake) Dewey. (This is recorded at Simsbury.) Andrew Hillyer died at Simsbury, Jan. 22, 1697/8. His will, dated Feb. 16, 1692, leaves everything to his daughter Hannah, aged 17 yrs. [a misstatement; she was in her 17th year at the time of the court action on her father's estate, 11 Apr. 1698], whom he calls his only living child. Andrew Hillyer made her his Executrix. His first wife, the mother of Hannah, was Hannah daughter of Benjamin Burr. Job Drake's will, dated Sept. 14, 1689, mentions daughter Abigail and grand-children Israel Dewey and Joseph Dewey.
