    Martha (Belcher) Remington, widow of Jonathan, sold "Blue Anchor Tavern" 12 May 1705 to Joseph Hovey, who sold it to his brother John Hovey, who died 1715. His widow Abiel Hovey received license for two years and then married Edmund Hovey. He died 4 Apr 1724. Widow licensed again until 27 Aug 1725 when she m. Isaac Watson, and he ran the inn until about 1729 when it passed into hands of John Hovey, son of the former owner.

    On p. 679, under Watson, all he says is that Abiel survived Isaac who d. 27 Feb 1741-2, but on p. 590, under first husband Hovey, he says she d. 18 Sep 1753, a. 66 [birth about 1687]. No such death is recorded in Cambridge VRs.
