    "3 Deacon Abel Bingham, second child of Thomas (1). b. 25 June, 1669, at Norwich, Conn. d. 25 March, 1745, at Windham, Conn. Lived first at Stratford, Fairfield Co., Conn., in or near the present Bridgeport, until about 1707, when he removed to Windham, where he purchased a farm in the southern part of the town, on the east side of Memeaguage Hill, 21 May, 1707. Admitted an inhabitant of the town 12 Jan., 1708, and chosen deacon of the First church in 1729. He was Selectman and held other town offices and was several times elected a delegate to the General Court (1721-2-3)."
