On 23 September 1743, [Lieut. Martin Dewey] bought from Aaron Gunn, husbandman, for £90, 1-1/2 acres with a house in Westfield, formerly Daniel Gunn's. This land was bounded south on Joseph Rood, east on David King, north on the highway, and west on Aaron Gunn. Last Will and Testament of Aaron Gunn

May 12, 1752
In the Name of God amen, I Aaron Gunn of New London in the County of New London and Colony of Connecticut being sick and weak of body, but of sound mind and understanding, praise be to God for it, and knowing the uncertainty of my time in this world do for settlement of that estate which it hath pleased God to bestow upon me make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, first and principally I release my soul to God who gave it and beseeching him to accept the same that the …. And mediation of his Son Jesus Christ my only Savior and Redeemer, my body to be duly buried.
Item: I will that all my full debt and … charges be paid and satisfied as soon as may be.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my son John the sum of twenty shillings in old tenor, which with what I have heretofore done for him to be in full of his portion.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Stephen the sum of twenty shillings in old tenor bills which with what I have already done for him to be in full of his portion.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rhoda the sum of twenty shillings in the old tenor bills, which with what I have already done for her to be in full of her portion.
Item; I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Jane Gunn the full and whole of the remainder of all my estate whatsoever after my full debt and the above legacy are paid and discharged to be at her disposal forever.
Item: I do appoint my loving wife Jane Gunn to be sole executrix of this my Last Will which I do declare to be my Last Will and Testament and in …… thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in New London the 24th day of January AD 1752.
