Introduction

The following articles are currently available for examination at The Inman Compendium. These articles provide a useful summary of past research into various aspects of the family, and some are quite well documented with primary sources. (Notably, Jane Inman, Daughter of Abednego Inman..., which shows a nice attention to the use of primary source materials.) In many cases this location is probably the only place these items can be readily examined. The editor of the Inman Compendium is to be commended for bringing these materials together where other researchers can examine them. Unfortunately, some of the article links (at the site) have rotted (March 2010), and the material may not be immediately available. Also, as this is a private site, its long term persistence can not be guaranteed.
