This indenture made the 21st day of January in the year 1823 between Wade Mosby by his attorney in fact Rich. Mosby both of Powhatan County & State of Virginia of the one part and Robert Madison of Harrison County & State of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth that the said Wade b the attorney aforesd. for & in consideration of the sum of Sixty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell release convey and confirm unto the sd. Robert Madison and his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in Harrison County and State of Kentucky on the waters of Mill Creek Harrison County being a part of a 1000 acre claim entered in the name of John Mosby patented to Littleberry Mosby & deeded to the said Wade Mosby the tract herein intended to be transferred consisting of all of sd. Robert Madisons land which interferes with and is covered by sd. Mosbys Claim containing about Twenty acres more or less. To have and to hold the above described premises and every part & parcel thereof and the appurtances without incumbrance let or molestation to the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said Robert Madison & his heirs & assigns forever and the sd. Wade Mosby by his attorney Richard Mosby aforesaid for himself his heirs executors & administrators doth covenant that that he is lawfully possessed of an indefensible Estate of inheritance in fee simnple in & to the above described & hath just right and full authority to bargain sell and convey the same as aforesaid & he doth warrant & forever defend said premises & the appurtances unto the sd. Robert Madison & his heirs & assigns against the claim or claims of him the said Wade Mosby his heirs & all others claiming by through or under him & also against the claim of John Hinkston & his heirs but against no other claim or claims whatever. In testimony whereof the said Wade Mosby by his attorney Rich. Mosby hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & year first above written.

This deed of conveyance from Wade Mosby by Rich. Mosby his attorney in fact to Robert Madison was acknowledged before me by the said Rich. Mosby atto. as afsd. & ordered to be recorded.
