Nathaniel LewisNathaniel Lewis was born in present day Ontario in 1791. His wife Nancy Snider was born in Colcesser, Essex Co., Onatario in 1794. Some time before 1812, Nathaniel and Nancy moved to the United States and settled near prsent day Dayton, Ohio. By the mid 1820's, Nahaniel and Nancy with their young family moved to Wayne County, Indiana where they settled in or near Hagerstown. During an epidemic, both Nathaniel and Nancy died. The six young cildren were first given to Dvid Hardman and wife then raised by Samuel and Susannah Eiler, their uncle and aunt. |
