[edit] Funeral Rites for Murphy D. BenoitLake Charles American Press, Tuesday, August 14, 1945 VINTON, LA. Murphy Donald Benoit died at John Sealey Hospital in Galveston Saturday at 3 am. A native of Vinton, he attended Vinton high school, and was employed at Consolidated Steel Corporation in Orange as night fire inspector. Funeral services were held at the family home Sunday at 4 pm. under the direction of Hixson funeral home. Rev. G.A. Bell conducted the services and burial was at Nibletts Bluff Cemetery. Surviving Mr. Benoit are his father, Murphy Benoit, his wife, and one brother, Bob Benoit, all of Vinton.
