This census record shows David 'Thompson', Surveyor and Astronomer living with his daughter and son-in-law, W.G. Scott. Published reports indicate he lived with his daughter Elizabeth however the census lists the wife of the family as 'Charlotte', the name of another of his daughters. The age of the wifre does not match any of the Thompson daughters making it unclear from the data who she is.

Also listed is 'Fanny McLeod', the married name of Thompson's eldest daughter.
