Party
The pictures are from a set of three that appear to have been taken at a Butt family party around 1924. The pictures, "Aunt Lillian with Nieces" and "Walt, Art, & Harold" are posed on the same bench. Harold is wearing the same clothing in the pictures "Sis and Harold" and "Walt, Art, and Harold".
Picture - Sis and Harold
Harold was 7 in 1924. Francelia "Sis" Butt was 11. This is reasonable given the picture and helps to date this set.
Picture - Walt, Art, and Harold
The photo was labeled Walter, Arthur, and Harold. It's definitely Harold on the right. He is wearing the same clothes as in the picture with Sis. Walter was 9 in 1924 and this fits the boy on the left. However, the child in the middle appears to be a girl. Arthur was 13 in 1924. two years older than Sis. This child doesn't appear to be two years older than Sis. For all these reasons it doesn't seem that this can be Arthur. She does seem to be Sis's age, but there is no way this is the same girl as in the picture "Sis and Harold". Olive was 7 in 1924. This girl doesn't look like other pictures of Olive and she seems to be older than the boys, around Sis's age. There are no other girls in the family of that age. Perhaps it is a neighbor or a friend.
Picture - Aunt Lillian with Nieces
(L to R) Francelia Parke Tucker, Lillian Parke Huntington, Lillie Parke Butt. Lillian is Z. Arthur Parke's sister. Z. Arthur is Francelia and Lillie's father. The two ladies on the bottom were clearly identified as Francelia Parke Tucker and Lillie Parke. Comparing to other photos this doesn't seem right. The woman on the left could possibly be Francelia, but the woman on the left doesn't look like Lillie. Aunt Lillian had two daughters, Pearl (40 in 1924) and Agnes (33 in 1924) but these women look too young for that. In 1924, Lillie was 33 and Francelia 29. In the end, the identification is probably correct.
