My 3rd Great-Grandparents, William and Ellen Hickey, arrived in America in 1836. They settled in Seneca County, Ohio and had eight children (that I know of). Some descendants of this family still live in Seneca County today. A couple of the family left the area and moved West to homestead, ending up in North Dakota and Wisconsin. As far as I have been able to trace, there is no one alive with the Hickey surname today, as William had many girls and so descendants show up with many other surnames. |
