Family talk:Thomas Holcombe and Elizabeth Unknown (1)

Any reason why we're merging to the higher number rather than the lower one? I very nearly started working at cross-purposes to you if I hadn't seen your note.

And, fyi, I just spent some time fixing the formatting on Thomas Holcombe (1), but I didn't remove him from the Gilbert/Ann parents yet.

I actually started the process of merging into the lower number, but a lot of the info on Family (1) is taken from Ancestral Files and I was seeing christening dates occurring before birth dates, etc. Family (2) had more documentation, thus my decision to merge that way. I agree that Gilbert/Ann as parents should be removed, though we should probably write a blurb about them showing up in the Holcombe genealogies although there's not a shred of evidence.

Any objections to changing Elizabeth's surname to "Unknown" until (and if) proof of "Ferguson" is known? --Ronni 10:14, 11 December 2007 (EST)

I went ahead and changed it since her marriage to Enno had her as unknown. --Ronni 10:44, 11 December 2007 (EST)

Updated Merge and Redirect Info: In the "old" days of WeRelate, when merging and redirecting was not as easy as it is now, this family had an ID number of [2]. All the family info has now been moved over to family [1] going with the WeRelate standard of trying to use the lower numbered page as the "main" page in a merge. --Ronni 21:13, 5 June 2008 (EDT)

Any particular reason a Benjamin was added with the same birthdate as Benajah ? Or is this a merge result ? I've never seen a Benjamin for this family group..--Neal Gardner 11:51, 13 August 2009 (EDT)

Good catch, that's got to be from the merge I did last night. Can you merge them or whatever's appropriate? I don't have much time the next couple days.--Amelia 12:01, 13 August 2009 (EDT)

Glad to oblige--Neal Gardner 13:25, 13 August 2009 (EDT)
