From Peter Fisher and Lydia Kalsbeek (1): [13 October 2011]

Ben, I believe this family matches Family:Pieter Visser and Lydia Kalsbeek (1). The birth years in the 1880 census match as well. --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:00, 13 October 2011 (EDT) /It looks as they are the same people and I cannot find any other records about birth of children and/or death records. I have sent an e-mail to the Sinema expert in the USA, his name is Dan Sinema, publicer of the book about the Sinnema's. As soon as I have received an answer I will come back to you--BenS 10:18, 13 October 2011 (EDT) //Jennifer, This is the info received Fisher, Lydia Mrs.Peter 1823-1895 FISHER, KALSBEEK

From the Alton Democrat of Apr 27, 1895. Orange City News. Mrs. Fisher, mother of Jacob and Jerome Fisher, died at her home in this city last week. She was 72 years old, a widow and highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves a large family of children and numberous friends to mourn her loss and our heartfelt sympathy goes to them. (Submitter is not quite positive of the identity of Mrs. Fisher but seems likely she is recorded in the marriage of her son Jacob in Sioux county IA. Jacob born 1865 Zeeland MI was the son of Peter Fisher and Lydia Kalsbeek. Jaocb married Mary Sinnema on Sep 14, 1897 and then they moved to Yakima WA. Found the 1860 Census for Zeeland Ottawa MI Peter Fisher born abt 1820 in Holland wife Lydia Fisher age 36, Children were - Jetketje age 11, Miaktje age 8, Gerbert age 6 (this may have been the later Americanized Jerome born Mar 1855); Meintje 6, Benna 2, and Meena 9 mo. In the 1900 census Jerome Firsher lived in Orange City, age 45 b. Mar 1855, wife Elizabeth age 39, children were Cora 21, Nellie 19, Minnie 17, Edward 11, Vernon 5, Merrill 2.) It seems clear that the information that you have found is correct. I can get copies of the referenced newspaper and census records, if needed. --BenS 17:19, 17 October 2011 (EDT)
