Link naar Genlias [14 mei 2011]

Hallo Ben, als je de tekst vervangt, moet de link naar Genlias echter niet verdwijnen. Dus dan kun je de tekst in de rechtse tabel aangevinkt laten.--Klaas (Ekjansen) 06:37, 14 May 2011 (EDT)

Hallo Klaas, helaas heb ik dat nu al een aantal keren gedaan maar zal daar vanaf nu op letten. Wel vind ik de verwijzing naar Genlias niet correct, het zou Treasor, Alle Friezen, Leeuwarden of FamilySearch moeten zijn zodra het betrekking heeft op een Fries record, toch de basis van alle Friezen. --Bensinnema 07:07, 14 May 2011 (EDT)

Vanzelfsprekend is een link naar Allefriezen nog beter, want daar vind je de originele akte, maar het ging er in dit geval om, geen gegevens verloren te laten gaan, verbeteringen kunnen altijd nog gerealiseerd worden.--Klaas (Ekjansen) 07:47, 14 May 2011 (EDT)

You both have a good point about the Genlias links. I was always under the impression that they updated their site regularly. A few days ago I went though the 100+ foutmelding I've sent over the past year, and while AlleFriezen is updated in a timely manner, Genlias and Tresoar have never been updated. I'm beginning to think the Genlias links are less and less useful. I wonder if they are not updating because they are putting their energy into WieWasWie? --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:21, 14 May 2011 (EDT)

Genlias is depending on volunteers, Treasor also but they have a team in Leeuwarden who do the regular updates. In Alle Friezen not all cities are participants. On the site of Leeuwarden - http://hcl-genealogie.pictura-dp.nl/ - you will find all the records including the links to birth-marriage and death documents and in FamilySearch you can find all documents of all cities from 1811 up to approx 1880 http://www.genver.nl/fs/fsindex.htm As far as Genlias is concerned I use it as a basis if no other sources are available.
