The father of Apollonia was Wolfgang Käffer who seems to have originated in the region of Ansbach, some distance to the east. Apparently he lived in Zaberfeld, Kreis Heilbronn, Württemburg for a brother of Apollonia, Jerg Niclas Käffer was born there 20 Jul 1701. Wolfgang died on 8 Aug 1728 in Zaberfeld. His wife was Elisabetha.

Wolff Michael Kaefer (aka Michael Kaifer) (Reference # 770 & 774 & 794 & 798) was born c1695 in the Ansbach region of Mittelfranken, Germany and died c17 November 1768 in the part of Culpeper Co., Virginia that is now Madison Co. He married Anna Maria Blanckenbuhler (Reference # 771 & 775 & 795 & 799) c1721 in Virginia. She was christened 5 May 1687 at Neuenburg, Baden, Germany.
