Rachel Varney was the widow of Thomas Cooke who married and divorced Joseph Langton, apparently reverting to the name Cooke on her divorce. Both Bridget Varney's will and William Vinson's will confirm that the Rachel Cooke who married William Vinson was Rachel Varney Cooke.
