Wm. Hooke, Sr., and wife, Sarah Hooke (her maiden name was Campbell). Married in 1772, she was alive on April 15th, 1790, as the following deed shows: "Deed dated April 15th, 1790, between William Hooke and Sarah his wife for $330.00 to Benjamin Bowman." Rockingham County Court Records, Deed Book 26, page 42. Nothing further has been found concerning her, and she probably died near this date.
