William and Frances had seventeen children - starting with a run of girls who died in infancy, then having a succession of boys. Some of the information is from the genealogical research of David Elisha Davy of Ufford (1769-1851), the Suffolk antiquary and collector whose manuscript collection is now in the British Library. His HONING pedigree was incorporated into an article by I. G. Nichols published in Collectanea Topographica at Genealogica in 1841. The article was about the HONING family portrait, painted in 1585, allegedly by Marcus GHEERAERTS is the source of the physical descriptions of the family in the pages linked to this family page.

William and Frances were buried in the 'alter tomb' within the parish church of St Peter and St Paul, Eye, Suffolk (pictured below).
