The finding of the burial of Cassandra Hawkredd [10 May 1565, Boston] is the only reason for supposing her to have been the possible mother of Anthony. She may, however, have been the first child of Elizabeth, but her baptism is not recorded. It is worth noting that Anthony named his first child Mary, and he possibly was the youngest child of Mary (Feld) Hawkredd, who would be forty at the time of his birth, and who was living five years earlier. Against this supposition is the fact that, according to the brief abstract found of William's will, property of Mr. Feld was given to Joanne, his eldest child, and none was given to Anthony, his other child.
