William Gleason is said to have married an Abiel/Abiah (Paige p 559). White (Anc John Barber White p158) states married Abiel Bartlett. Cutter (NE Families (1913) 2:567) states Abiel Bartlett, born Watertown May 28, 1651. Metropolitan Boston (4:120) states Abiah or Abiel Bartlett. With the exception of Cutter, New England Families, none provide additional information (i.e., birth, parents, residence, etc.) which can be used to identify who this Abiel/Abiah Bartlett is. New England Families, not the most reliable of sources, provides the birth date and place for Abiah Bartlett, dau of Thomas & Hannah () Bartlett. This Abiah married Jonathan Sanderson and is well documented in Anderson, Paige, and Sanderson "Edward Sanderson of Watertown, Mass." They can not be the same person.
