Catharina may be the daughter of Joost VAN SEYSEN and Antje HUYSMAN, baptized on 1 February 1721, or she may be the daughter of Cornelus VAN SEYSEN and Maria BLYDENBURGH, baptized on 19 June 1723, both recorded in the New Amsterdam Church. (The two Catharinas are likely first cousins.) Catharina probably died before 1757.

Some have included Jarvis Dobbs as a child of this marriage, although Dobbs researcher Lee Gruzen (who is descended from Jarvis) expresses doubt about this.
