Note: Archibald and Andrew Smithers/Smothers/Smathers are likely related and possibly siblings. They both acquired land on the James River in Augusta County in the mid-1760's. Andrew named "Elizabeth Fugate", likely also a sibling of Andrew, in his will. Additional research needed to prove any relationships.
