'Thomas [son of John and Elizabeth (Whatman) Brooke], bapt. 6 Jan 1568/9 [St. Leonard's in Eastcheap], d. 1625 leaving will dated 18 Nov. 1625, proved 1 Dec. 1625 (PCC 143 Clarke = Waters, Gleanings 2:1278); wife Joan so named in his mother's will in [June] 1599, was living 1620 when last child was born, but not mentioned in husband's will 1625.'
